Description

Andrea, a brilliant robot builder lives an isolated life in retrofuture LA. Her life is intensely focused on building her master robot IRIS – the first robot with real human emotions. Her father, Carlos lives a life of regret across town having lost contact with Andrea. She even forgot the anniversary of her mother’s death. Andrea has hit a snag with IRIS. IRIS is alive but the emotion isn’t flowing. Andrea has a hard time explaining emotion to the robot because her emotional life is so blocked. IRIS has an idea. To fully understand the human condition, Andrea needs to reconnect with Carlos. They make a trip across the city to commemorate the death of her mother. Andrea gets her emotional connection back with Carlos and IRIS finally understands human emotion. To program an emotionally connected robot, Andrea needed to become an emotionally connected human.
