PIRATE JENNY reimagines a classic ballad from Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera (1928). In this short, Pirate Jenny is a woman who dreams of becoming a pirate to avenge the abuse she suffered as a girl—perhaps it is not just a dream. The soundtrack crashes in with rock and near-metal edges, turning ancient verses into a visceral, modern force. Her anger is raw, black, and untamed, spiraling into thoughts of revenge so intense they blur the line between fantasy and reality. But isn’t reality ultimately what we choose to believe? Jenny asks the question—and invites each of us to find our own answer.
