A Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Starlings Television, Chris Philip is a producer, writer, development executive, packager, financier and distributor. Philip, utilizing an innovative packaging and production financing model for his Television series, just completed the first season of The CW’s "SHERLOCK & DAUGHTER" with BAFTA and EMMY nominated David Thewlis as the legendary detective.
Additionally, he is an Executive Producer of three seasons of the award-winning ongoing series "DEPARTURE" with Archie Panjabi, airing on Global Network in Canada and Peacock in the U.S., and sci-fi series “PANDORA,” a Saturn Award-nominated series that aired two seasons on The CW. Recently, Philip received the Golden Palm at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for "THE KINDNESS WITHIN," the first-ever feature to win both Best Documentary and the festival's pinnacle accolade. He has also sold, packaged and produced dozens of other series throughout his career.
Earlier, Philip spent 13 years as an executive at Universal, distributing the studio's feature blockbusters and TV series. He was also Head of Production at Televisa USA, President of London based Power Television, President of Sierra-Engine Television, President of Electus-Engine Television and co-founder of Engine Entertainment which was sold to Ben Silverman’s Electus. He started his career at Alfred Haber Distribution before becoming a VP at PolyGram Filmed Entertainment working with distribution legend Armando Nunez Sr.
