Description

Directed by Carrie Brownstein, "Say It Like You Mean It" is a new music video produced for Sleater-Kinney’s 11th album, Little Rope. The video features twice Primetime Emmy Award-nominated J. Smith-Cameron (HBO Max’s Succession) with production design and assistant direction by AACTA-award winning Karen Murphy (Elvis, A Star Is Born). Carrie describes the theme for the video as "The story of a woman who’s lost all sense of what’s appropriate.” This music video was shot on-location in Portland Oregon at Dame restaurant the fall of 2023 and produced by Desert Island Studios.
