Description

Crimson Wave follows 12-year-old Olivia in her struggle to use a tampon for the very first time. While on vacation with her family at the Jersey Shore in 2008, the unimaginable happens. As Olivia gets ready for the beach, we witness her cringe-worthy struggle that many menstruating individuals can relate to. As she attempts to navigate the complex instructions, we laugh, cry, and rage alongside her. In this comedy of errors, we follow Olivia through this milestone moment in her family's beach house rental bathroom circa 2008. This short dramedy is a heartfelt letter to our younger selves and the menstrual moments we will never forget.
