Danielle Renfrew Behrens is the President of Animal Pictures along with partners Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne. Animal’s projects include the Apple TV+ comedy series LOOT, Peacock’s mystery series POKER FACE, and Amazon’s forthcoming adult animated sci-fi comedy series THE SECOND BEST HOSPITAL IN THE GALAXY. Last year, Animal produced the feature CRUSH for HULU and premiered the documentary SIRENS at the Sundance Film Festival.
Before joining Animal, Danielle Renfrew Behrens ran Superlative Films – the film fund she founded in 2016. Through Superlative, she produced a handful of critically-acclaimed films, including Kogonada’s directorial debut COLUMBUS, starring John Cho and Haley Lu Richardson – nominated for multiple Independent Spirit & Gotham Awards, LUCKY, starring beloved character actor Harry Dean Stanton – also a Gotham Award nominee, and NIGHT COMES ON, starring Dominique Fishback – which won Sundance’s NEXT Innovator Award and a Grand Jury Prize at the Deauville International Film Festival.
