Based on celebrated author Su Ton’s novels, “A Zebra-Riding Boy” is the heartwarming family tale of poor, bowlegged teenager Zuo Lin and his dream to ride a horse in the busiest and most prosperous part of the city; as a cavalryman.
The rich Ah Zheng wants to thwart Zuo Lin’s plan, and thus comes up with a plot and asks Qing Qing to deceive Zuo Lin. Instead, she falls in love with him.
Zuo Lin’s transition from an unhappy rider of a rocking-horse, to a happy zebra-rider and hussar officer, to a beaming paper horse rider unveils in an absorbing story full of youthful vibrance and innocence.
