Description

THE PRATT IN THE HAT is a short film about civil rights leader Dr. Frances Pratt. Beneath her large-brimmed bonnets is a woman whose personal insight, unique wisdom, and firsthand knowledge of racial inequality make a bold statement, as does Pratt’s southern charm and pithy expressions which she garnered through a lifetime of service to her community.

She is a needed role model during these times of racial strife. She is the epitome of grace in the face of adversity and she shows how speaking out and perseverance are necessary to prevail in the ongoing struggle for voting rights and equal education.
