A modern screwball comedy concerning Susan and Henry, who are hosting a dinner party while trying to make good on a lie concerning the recent death of their "father." Henry, crippled by narcissism and pettiness, attempts to sabotage the evening through recklessly embellishing Susan’s lies and inviting a disagreeable friend to the occasion. More unexpected guests arrive, causing the night to further unravel despite Susan’s best efforts.
