Description

The predicaments that occur during puberty. Using one’s own traumatic past as the experience to bring light to another’s life. A young mariachi finding his voice again after losing his brother. Finding out how the kindness of one stranger can send one on a new adventure. This year's Student Shorts program is an extraordinary collection of captivating films that explore universal themes—love, loss, family, connection, embracing your true self, and (of course) stoners. With unique approaches to storytelling that only young, emerging artists can capture, these tales showcase a diverse range of subjects, styles, and perspectives on life in truly dynamic ways.

Always wildly popular, always unexpected, and always a program to make you feel amazing; Student Shorts are where it’s at, and you can catch PART ONE on Saturday, March 9th at 9:00AM at the Hammer Theatre, and then catch PART TWO on Saturday, March 16th at 9:30AM.
